It's been more than
four years that the first issue of "Beautiful
& Timeless" has been released on CD. Back
then, tracks from Shayan Music and Pesto could
be found on the compilation. In December 2007,
the sampler was also made available as a
digital download.
Many fans have been eagerly waiting for Chapter 2 and the waiting has finally come to an end: "Bent Bar presents Beautiful & Timeless 2" - this time with exclusive tracks from Pesto Music only, compiled and mixed by Jon Silva. You'll find a bunch of established artists and newcomers around Pesto's chef de cuisine Jon Silva aka The Mulder/Soda Inc./El Presidente as diverse as of international provenance.
Contained are unreleased tracks and mixes by Kaledj & Lino Brotto (Italy), Florian Kochendörfer aka Cooccer (who just recently had the honour of remixing TechHouse god Terry Lee Brown Jr. on Plastic City)), Cloudsteppers (Ukraine), Allovers (Russia), Mike Starr feat. Barca (London/Berlin/Vienna) remixed by From P60 (Hungary/Plastic City), a new Pete Gust remix of Rucyl's lovely 2008 smash hit "Love In War" (USA/Sweden - recently heard on Buddha Bar 11), Phonic Funk's "On Top" remixed by Marc Cotterell-Remix (Holland/USA), Replika's killer tune "Tribute To Kerry" (Switzerland) and Deepology's Aleksey Beloozerov (Russia). Setting forth a tradition of a loungy tune dedicated to the Bar that partnered with Pesto Music "Theme From Bent Bar", the compilation closes with a slow one.
Bent Bar in Heidelberg is not just another cocktail bar: only the best and most fresh ingredients are used, the bartenders are true masters of their subject (co-owner Milan Nesin might be a familiar face from the early and glorious days of the now closed Bar1), the music playing is as hi class. The Bent Bar guys pay a lot of attention to detail which not only manifests in excellent drinks but also the black-coloured toilet paper or, you guessed it, this CD compilation.
Although these tracks make a great soundtrack for this ending summer, the CD fulfills all demands of being truly "beautiful" and "timeless". Chapter 2 of "Beautiful & Timeless" will surely be a frequent guest in the CD drives of many during the next four years.
